Although there are no direct rail links with the airport, connections can be made to the nearest rail station by bus. Public buses regularly run to Mumbai from Mumbai International Airport.
In addition, many hotels in the area provide courtesy shuttle access to and from the airport and taxis and rickshaws also run to the city and its hotels.
Buses
Public buses run to Mumbai and beyond from both terminals of Mumbai International Airport including a city bus service to Mumbai. Additionally, coach services operate to destinations in the southern states. Intercity coach services also operate from the International Terminal and can be booked in the Arrivals area.
Hotel Shuttle Buses
Quality hotels near to the airport provide guests with shuttle services to and from Mumbai International Airport. These include the Leela Kempinski Hotel, Orchid Ecotel Hotel, Holiday Inn Bombay, Marriot Executive Apartments and Sun-n-Sand Hotel Mumbai.
Trains
Although there is no direct rail access from either terminal of the airport, bus services run to the nearest metro rail connection, which connects with the rail network at Mumbai CST Terminus for travel to Mumbai and the rest of India.
Taxi Cabs
Metered and prepaid taxis as well as motor rickshaws are all available for transport to hotels and Mumbai city from Mumbai International Airport, with rates varying. Visitors are advised to agree on a price before embarking on their journey and should expect to barter.
